Makerere University finalist Majegere Bisatu has showed interest and announced his taking part in the 2021 general elections competing for the MP seat of Butambala constituency.
The 26 year old young activist is a 4th year student at Makerere pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and he declared his leadership intentions in an exclusive interview with The Ugandan Daily.
“Well, I would wish to officially announce that I have hopes of standing as the area Member of Parliament for Butambala Constituency. Being a Humanitarian and Philanthropist, we have reached out deeply to areas of Butambala and we realized that a lot of areas still need to be addressed especially when it comes to Land grabbing, Education and areas of Health.” Majegere told Our reporter.
He also adds on that time has come for acting rather than talking, believing that when the people of Butambala trust him with their votes, the best services will be provided through close monitoring, and supervision of those areas.
As many other leaders, Majegere’s leadership journey started way back in school where he was the head boy at Trinity Primary School.
He was then elected head boy “O” level at Bweyogerere Secondary School and later Head prefect at Lubiri Secondary school. He then joined Kibuli Secondary School where he volunteered to serve on the Kibuli Muslim Students Association and also the Chairperson of various discussion Groups.
He’s currently a youthful leader at the institution championing the interests of the Nkobazambogo groups as away to serve his kingdom.
He’s also currently running Smart Youth Network Iniatives as Director, working for Memory Miles Tours And Travel which is located along old Kira road in Kamwokya, a seasoned Teacher of Physics and Mathematics teaching at Kibuli SS, East High School Ntinda and Ubbayi Bun Khabbi in Bwebajja.
Apart from being an education enthusiast, Majegere is a passionate agriculturalist with gardens of coffee and matooke in Butambala.
