As several people are still traveling to their up country homes, police has registered several motor accidents that have occurred since yesterday.
The accidents have been registered on the following roads
Mbarara- Ibanda
This occurred along Akancuncu- Kagonji trading centre on Mbarara- ibanda road.
According to the police spokesperson of Rwizi region Samsom Asasira, a vehicle belonging to MTN Company knocked dead a bodaboda cyclist who was identified as Chris Abigaba and the passengers he was carrying who died on spot. The other two deceased were identified as Amelia Abaho and Agustus Ahimbisibwe.

Kampala- Gulu highway
A bus reg number UAT 596H belong to BTC Bus Company over turned several times killing one person on spot and other passengers were left with severe injuries. The Bus was heading to kampala from Adjumani. It is alleged that at around 9pm the driver lost control as he was trying to dodge a mad person who was in the road.

Masaka- Mbarara highway
Police in Mbarara has confirmed the death of a driver belonging to TAUSI Bus Company after his bus number UBK 516S collided with a lorry which was heading to Mbarara. The accident occurred today morning and several people were rushed to Lyantonde hospital to get treatment.
