The match concluded with a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge, securing Arsenal a crucial point to sustain their unbeaten streak this season.
The deceased individual, Fostine Androdribo, resided in Komendako village, Owayi Parish, Omugo sub county in Terego district.
Omugo sub county chairperson Philliam Jabo, who also lived close to the deceased, recounted how Androdribo collapsed at Galaxy Video Hall in Komendako Trading Centre while watching the game.
According to Jabo, Androdribo stood up, took off his shirt in jubilation of substitute Leandro Trossard’s 84th minute equalizer, and then suddenly collapsed.
Despite efforts to rush him for medical attention, Androdribo was pronounced dead upon arrival at Omugo Health IV.
Meanwhile, William Drabo, the brother of the deceased, shared that his brother did not have any known medical issues.
According to Drabo, Androdribo had been employed as a security guard in Kampala and had returned to the village a week prior to attend a relative’s funeral.
Modesto Acidri, the LCI chairperson of Komendako village, urged residents to prioritize regular medical checkups to prevent similar unfortunate incidents in the future.
The family declined to authorize a post mortem examination for the deceased. Additionally, a previous incident in Sheema District involving the death of another Arsenal supporter, allegedly stabbed by a Manchester United fan following Arsenal’s 3-1 victory, was noted early last month.
