Authorities Sheema District, located in western Uganda are currently searching for a 22-year-old individual who stands accused of committing murder.
This tragic incident unfolded when he allegedly took the life of a 21-year-old Arsenal football club supporter following a dispute over the outcome of a recent English Premier League match between Arsenal and Manchester United.

The victim, Jackson Aineruhanga, a resident of Rwanyinakahire cell, Rwamujojo ward, Sheema Central Division, Sheema municipality in Sheema District, met his untimely demise shortly after Arsenal secured a 3-1 victory over Manchester United on a Sunday.
According to the local police, the incident is believed to have occurred on the evening of September 3, 2023, when Aineruhanga and the suspect engaged in a heated argument at a video hall while watching the football match.
Their dispute was ignited when a late goal by Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho was disallowed due to an offside decision made by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
Following their altercation in the video hall, the two fans attempted to continue their discussion at a local bar.
However, their quarrel led to their ejection from the establishment. Subsequently, the suspect pursued Aineruhanga and reportedly stabbed him in the chest using a sharp object.
Tragically, Aineruhanga succumbed to his injuries and bled to death as a result of the attack, as reported by Mr. Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for the greater Bushenyi police.
While the alleged perpetrator is currently evading capture, detectives have visited the scene of the incident and recovered a piece of a stick with suspected bloodstains, which has been preserved as evidence.
Furthermore, open shoes belonging to the suspect were found at the scene. Jackson Aineruhanga’s body was later transported to Kabwohe Health Centre IV for a postmortem examination, as confirmed by the police spokesperson.
