For the past few days, rumors have been circulating on social media about the People Power movement leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine sitting his giving up on the 2021 presidential race competition.
The rumor spreading was that Bobi Wine and his team had decided to pull out of the 2021 elections because of the challenges posed by the Corona virus (COVID-19) outbreak and the eventuality that although President Yoweri Museveni might win the 2021 election, chances are high that he will not participate in the 2021 election due to age.
The Kyandondo member of parliament has disregarded this information saying that he’s ready to battle his enemy (President Museveni) adding on that he has done too many bad things to the country and deserves to quit as the president.
“Ladies and gentlemen I would like to assure you that I am ready and I shall challenge Museveni in the 2021 presidential election,” Bobi Wine said. He added on that this initiative of spreading wrong information has people behind it (Mafia) with their own unknown interests.
All this was said during a press conference that he held today at the People Power headquarters in Kamwokya.
Joel Ssenyonyi, the spokesman of the People Power movement also talked about this and trashed the circulating rumor through his social media platform (Twitter).
