Recognizing the significance of the cultural norms of the Bakonzo community, President Museveni expressed his contentment with Mumbere’s return to his kingdom.
He underscored the significance of restoring kingdoms in Uganda, citing their historical value and ability to foster a sense of belonging. State Minister Peace Mutuuzo also encouraged cultural leaders to prioritize unity and development.
In response, Mumbere stressed the importance of embracing government initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM) to uplift livelihoods and combat poverty.
He outlined the kingdom’s strategic focus on reconciliation, diversity, social-economic transformation, peace-building, and mindset change, emphasizing the need for unwavering dedication from his subjects to achieve these goals.
