According to the Presidential press secretary Ms. Lindah Nabusayi, President Museveni will on Saturday 31st July 2021 address Ugandans on the way forward regarding the covid-19 measure. The address is expected to start at 8:00 pm and will be aired on all Ugandan televisions and radios.
On 6 June 2021, President announced a 42-day lockdown on the major sectors of the economy such as transport, education, entertainment among others.
A number of Ugandans have requested the president to ease the lockdown because they are almost dying of hunger within their homes.
