A security guard has reportedly shot himself dead at his duty station on Lumumba Avenue, Kampala, this morning.
The incident according to reports on social media has taken place at Lumumba Avenue at Mukwasi House. Police have since retrieved the body from the scene of the crime and conveyed it to Mulago National referral hospital for postmortem.

This comes at the backdrop of several shootings in the past week, yesterday a security guard who was guarding in Tororo senior quarters attached to the Saracen Security group turned the gun against his colleague and ended his life, and another guard killed his colleague in areas of Makindye over the weekend, Ivan Wabwire a police constable killed an Indian money lender identified as Utam Bhandari at Raja Chambers in Kampala.
