A director of Kings Palace Primary School in Luwero district has been apprehended by the police for his alleged involvement in the defilement of six students at the school.
According to Sam Twiineamazima, the Savannah Regional Police spokesperson, this arrest came following the registration of six cases on October 25, 2023, involving students who claimed to have been victims of defilement by the accused. Immediate inquiries were launched.

The individual in question has been identified as Jona Sebamanya. It was also disclosed that there is another suspect currently evading capture, with ongoing efforts to apprehend them.
Twiineamazima emphasized that the Luwero territorial Police are detaining the school director to aid in the investigation of the alleged defilement incidents that took place between September and October 2023, specifically in the areas of Kakokolo electoral village and Kikubajinja Village within Luwero District.
The victims, all aged between 13 and 17 years, have provided statements, and police medical examinations have been conducted. According to medical reports, three pupils aged 17, 14, and 15 years have been confirmed as victims of sexual abuse.
All the victims are students of Kings Palace Primary School and are currently preparing for their Primary Seven examinations. Detectives are working to obtain the necessary documents to verify the ages of the victims, while the suspect remains in custody at Luwero Central Police Station as the investigation progresses.
