In Kazo district, a 40-year-old man named Tayebwa David has been apprehended by the police under accusations of defiling and impregnating his 15-year-old biological daughter.

The arrest, made in Kigarama Village, Ntambazi parish, Kazo Sub County, comes after revelations that the victim, also a student at Kigarama Primary School, had kept this secret for six months. According to Senior Superintendent of Police Philip Mukasa, the suspect allegedly threatened the girl to keep silent about the pregnancy.
Mukasa revealed that Tayebwa had separated from his wife, who subsequently remarried. The victim confided in her teachers about the abuse, leading to the school administration reporting the case to the police.
Mukasa emphasized the prevalence of similar challenges faced by children in the district, noting that parents often handle such matters at the village level, which is deemed dangerous and unlawful. He urged parents and guardians to report such cases to the police.
Currently detained at Kazo Police Station, Tayebwa faces charges of aggravated defilement, among others, as investigations into the case are underway.
