A 20-year-old man is being investigated by the Police in Gulu City East Division for allegedly killing his mother over a delayed supper.

The incident, which took place at Bar Cell, Laroo-Pece Division, involved the suspect, Dickson Okane, using an axe to attack his mother, Betty Adoch, 48.
Okane, who is known to have a history of violence towards his mother, has been taken into custody, with the case registered under CRB 361/2023 at Gulu East Police Post.
The Police have retrieved the axe used in the crime, and the deceased’s body has been sent for a postmortem examination at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital.
