In the Kampala Metropolitan Area, law enforcement authorities are detaining a school director from Samuel Kids Academy, Kakinzi, Mukono on suspicion of sexually abusing children under his care.
The suspect, Sengoba Samuel, was apprehended after reports of misconduct involving pupils in the boarding section of the school.

The police conducted medical examinations on the girls residing in the boarding section, aged between 15 and 17, based on intelligence information.
As a result of the medical examinations, four girls were confirmed to have been victims of sexual assault.
Subsequently, the police charged the suspect with two counts of aggravated defilement.
However, two additional victims were also identified, but they were not forthcoming with information or cooperation during the investigation.
The police are making efforts to involve their parents and counselors to ensure that these perpetrators of sexual violence are held accountable and brought to justice.

During the same security briefing at the Uganda Police headquarters in Naguru, Kampala, another arrest was announced in Bunyangabu involving a suspect identified as Irakunda Innocent.
The victim, a 14-year-old girl, was assaulted while she was out grazing goats.
The suspect allegedly assaulted the girl after offering her money, claiming that a witch doctor advised him to engage in sexual acts with an imbecile and bring her undergarments to him to become wealthy.
The police confirmed that the suspect would be charged with aggravated defilement for this crime.
