In the president’s recent speech aired on the budget speech day, he noted of the different government sectors that have become too corrupt of recent and promised to kick away every one that took part in the process.
Yesterday evening, President Museveni fired Andrew Mubiru Kitaka who served for 1 and half years acting as the acting executive director and appointed Ms. Dorothy Kisaka as a substantive Executive Director.
The president went ahead to replace Mr. Samuel Sserunkuuma with Engr. David Luyimbaazi Ssali as the new Deputy Executive Director.
“I’m writing to request you to interview for me the following persons and find out whether they are suitable to man the indicated offices in Kampala Capital City Authority,” the president wrote in a letter to public service commission.
Among other new replacements included Dr. Okello Ayen Daniel as director Public Health and Environment, Ms. Sarah Kanyike, for Director Gender, Community Services and Ms. Grace Akullo, for Director, Human Resources and Administration.
The causes of this reshuffle are subjected to the low taxes collected by the commission as the president said that both KCCA and URA were not doing enough to collect taxes in his recent speech.
“There has been a lot of corruption in URA. That one I have cleaned. We have cleaned that crowd of the corrupt. Like we shall do in other areas,” he vowed.
With regard to all the other vacant position at KCCA, the president has directed that they should be filled by advertising, utilizing Public Service systems.
