The residents of Kisombwa village in Kibaliinga Sub County, Mubende district, find themselves gripped by anxiety due to the emergence of an enigmatic ailment that results in the development of peculiar spots on their skin.
According to accounts from locals who shared their stories, these spots exhibit intricate shapes, intensifying the prevailing fear.

Sophia Namwanje, a mother with two children, recounted her experience of awakening with itchy skin one morning. To her astonishment, she detected a mark on her left side resembling the numeral 9, which significantly heightened her distress.
What amplified her concern was learning about a young boy who had encountered a similar marking, and upon comparison, it was evident that their marks were identical.
Namwanje postulated that these marks could have malevolent origins, as she had never encountered such a phenomenon in her life.
Furthermore, she disclosed that when acquaintances catch sight of this mark on her thigh, they proclaim it to be a satanic symbol, predicting her demise within nine days.
Regrettably, her companions in the community have commenced avoiding her, apprehensive of contracting the same mysterious mark.
Consequently, even commercial motorcycle operators (boda boda) have begun evading providing transportation for her.
There is a prevailing belief that the scope of this affliction in Kisombwa surpasses those who have reported it. Nevertheless, the majority opt to remain silent due to their trepidation of being shunned.
Individuals currently grappling with this condition are appealing to the Ministry of Health to intercede.
Pulisidiat Ndibuhwa, a local resident, shared that her five-year-old grandson has also fallen victim to these perplexing marks on his chest for the last two months.
Despite seeking the assistance of spiritual healers, there has been no improvement in the situation. The health decline of Ndibuhwa’s grandson is a source of distress, as he is visibly losing weight.
Within the village, apprehensions have surfaced that traditional healers might be implicated in the origin of these marks.
James Isingoma, the Vice Chairperson for Kisombwa LC I, has urged the Ministry of Health to promptly address the situation and allay the anxieties of the populace.
He also encouraged community members to promptly report any instances of these mysterious body marks.
As of the current press moment, health authorities from Mubende district have not issued a statement regarding the matter.
