The Speaker, who is married to Moses Magogo, the president of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations and the Budiope East MP, shared that during her leave, she and her husband were blessed with “lovely” twins. She expressed her sincere thanks to the MPs and staff who welcomed her back and celebrated the safe delivery of her twins, with cheeks flushed with excitement.
Among also extended her appreciation to her deputy, Thomas Tayebwa, whom she fondly referred to as her good brother, for efficiently holding the fort during her absence. She offered a heartfelt prayer for abundant blessings from the Almighty God upon everyone present. Anita Among, who also serves as the Bukedea Woman MP, returned to her parliamentary duties with a sense of gratitude and joy.
It’s worth noting that she had previously shared her pregnancy news during a meeting with Pope Francis in Rome in August 2023, where she sought and received the Pope’s blessing for her unborn child. Furthermore, Anita Among and Moses Magogo were united in marriage in a private ceremony in Kampala in August of the preceding year. She had initially introduced her fiancé in a closed-door ceremony held in Bukedea district.
