The Ugandan Parliament’s Speaker, Anita Among, has given birth to twins, as announced by her deputy, Thomas Tayebwa, in a tweet on Monday.

Tayebwa extended his congratulations to Anita Among and her husband, Moses Magogo Hassim, for this double joy.
The speaker had tied the knot with Moses Magogo Hassim, who is not only the FUFA president but also an MP for Budiope East in Buyende district, in a private ceremony in Kampala back in August 2022. Before the wedding, Among had introduced her fiance during a private event in Bukedea District.
It was also reported that as part of their traditional marriage, the Budiope East MP had given 50 cows and 30 goats in a closed-door ceremony in Bukedea.
