In a July 1st letter authored by the permanent secretary to the judiciary Mr. Pius Bigirimana, it is revealed that Justice Kisakye has been ‘illegally’ receiving her UGX 24m salary plus UGX 10m allowances and other benefits for the past 9 months yet she has a pending disciplinary case before the Judicial service commission.
The judiciary claims justice Kisakye has been absent without leave since September 2021 but credible sources say her controversial ruling in the 2021 presidential election petition is the genesis of all the woes she faces at the moment.

“The purpose of this memo is to humbly request you to show cause as to why I cannot recover nine months’ salary which has been paid to you without working. Please take note that I am giving instructions not to process your salary starting this month of July 2022 until a satisfactory explanation is offered. If I don’t receive the explanation sought within 14 working days, I will proceed to recover all the funds remitted to you in form of salary starting from the month of July,” a letter written by Pius Bigirimana reads.
It should be noted that the said claims were disregarded on Friday by the Judicial spokesperson Jameson Karemani who said he was seeing it for the ‘first time on social media.’
