Today 9th June 2020, the ministry of health has announced the confirmation of 11 more COVID-19 patients bringing the total to 657.
All the 11 new confirmed cases are Ugandans among all the total of 2,336 samples tested.
5 of the confirmed cases were among the 1412 samples taken from truck drivers who entered the country through the boarder points of Malaba and Elegu.
The rest are among the 878 samples from contacts and alerts from Amuru and Kyotera Districts.
All the samples of health workers tested negative for COVID-19 and 34 foreign truck drivers tested positive but were forced to go back to their countries.
The total number of recoveries remains at 118 and the ministry of health continues to ask Ugandans to stick to the guidelines availed by the health workers.
