Western NRM Youth elections dabbed worst in history of youth elections

The recently concluded NRM party western youth MP flag bearer attracted 13 candidates who battled for the flag in preparation for 2021 general election .
Unlike other elections which included sons and and daughters of highly profiled government officials. This election might have been fair but hotly contested with candidates like
1.Joshua Israel Akandwanaho
2.Tugume Ronald
3.Gwennie Murungi
4.Mwesigye Patrick
5.Agnes Tushabe
6.Mark Baitwababo and others.

According to our reports on ground many youth leaders both in old & new youth councils are citing out the highest level of voter bribery and irregularities in the history of youth politics of uganda. The NRM old structures that voted these flags sold the votes to the highest bidder In some districts delegates sold each vote at 500,000ugx, 700,000ugx and 1,000,000ugx.

They didnt care on which candidate has brilliant ideas,agenda or plans for the youth, they were heard singing this is ”term egenda” and we must eat as much as we can & indeed they ate abnormally.

In some districts godfathers like Hon.Maj.Tom Butime & other big relatives of Rugumayo Edson appeared on polling stations with sucks of money and started pulling out delegates who had joined lines of other candidates and bought them highly in broad-day light and delegates switched lines.

Faces of RDC’s were seen, ministers and other rare faces appear with lots of money and it turned into a market. The current youth mp kept on phone commanding the delegates on who they should vote. He silently supported Tugume Ronald though he never said it in public. We have proof of the phone calls he made across the region.

According to the report got from youth councillors & youth chairpersons who treasure ideas above money say NRM should not have used *old structures* who are greedy,manipulative, angry and with no interests of the young people at heart to vote NRM Youth MP flag bearers. These old men& women over stretched candidates beyond their capacity. It was very shameful to see a district youth chairperson or youth councillor asking a fellow youth 1m for one vote.

The newly elected NRM youth flag bearers in youth councils say they are not ready to lose this election over opposition candidates that seem to make the right race such as Bainomugisha Denmark and have therefore requested some of the brilliant candidates such as Akandwanaho Joshua Israel,Tugume Ronald and others who can carry the youth flag so high to come independent.

The new structures are saying whoever bought a flag will face it hot in the general election. They insist that they need a leader who will push the youth patent issues without fear or favor not those who are going to parliament to recover their billions spent in elections.

The young people insist they followed this race,attended some meetings of different candidates, watched them on media share their views and have done background check on some of them and they pretty know who is fit to represent them in the 11th parliament.

Don’t be shocked when many flags fail in general election.
