As the 2021 elections heat up, Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP) and presidential hopeful, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu mostly known by his stage name Bobi Wine has come out to speak about the “scientific elections” that was announced by the electoral commission last week.
This has come in a period when the Electoral commission announced that campaigns shall done through media houses and social media meaning that candidates won’t physically get to meet their voters.
Today while addressing the press at the ‘People Power’ headquarters in Kamwokya the Kyandondo MP said that what they want a ‘normal’ election and it is what they are going to participate in as a movement.
“Mr. Museveni, you might have forgotten what you said in 1980 but we have not, you put Obote on notice on the eve of the 1980 elections. You said that if the 1980 elections were rigged, you will go to the bush and fight him. We have reached to that point once again,” he added on.
The MP urged president Museveni to either step down peacefully or organize free and fare normal elections. He further added that if this continues, Ugandans will raise up against this initiative and overthrow him.
He concluded by confirming his participation in the 2021 general elections.
