The famous American business magazine known as Forbes has ranked Uganda amongst the top six (6) most safe countries in the World to visit in the month of October after Airports opening.

This comes shortly after the country re-opened its borders and the main Airport in Entebbe on October 1st which came after 6 months of closure due to the escalating COVID-19 cases in March this year.

The other countries that join in as safe travel destinations include: Panama in Central America, El Salvado in North America, Pakistan in Southern Asia, Ukraine in Eastern Europe and finally Bahamas in North America.

Uganda’s travel system at the moment requires a negative COVID-19 polymerize chain reaction (PCR) test within 72 hours of arrival and a negative test before departure as well. The test needs to happen no more than 120 hours before departure.

Uganda’s case count was on the rise through September but in absolute terms their outbreak has been reasonably small with just under 9,000 cases so far and 81 deaths.
